The CE252 allows access to your KVM installation through a local console,or a remote console placed up to a distance of 300m(1000') away. Both the local and remote units support PS/2 consoles. In addition to these features,the CE252 includes a convenient port at the remote unit to connect an extra computer. This allows the remote user to combine their desktop computer with the remote console for increase efficiency and productivity.

  • Uses Cat 5e cable to connect the local and remote units (up to 300m apart)
  • Dual Console Operation - control your system from both the local and remote PS/2 keyboard, mouse and monitor consoles
  • Additional PC connection allowed for the remote unit
  • Pushbutton selection - sequential selection between local and auto mode
  • Two gain control modes provided for the sharpest video quality-adjustable or automatic
  • Adjustable gain control - manually adjusts signal strength to compensate for distance
  • Automatic Gain Control - automatically adjusts signal strength to compensate for distance
  • High video resolution - up to 1600 x 1200
  • Supports DDC2B for local monitor (display data channel for communication between graphic card and monitor)
  • Supports VGA, SVGA, and Multisync Monitors
  • Built-in 8KV ESD protection and 2KV surge protection
  • Local unit takes its power from the computer - external power is only required when the power from the local computer/computers in the KVM installation is insufficient
